Supported by the Lead Nurse, Registered Nurses, GPs and Practice Management teams they will deliver care within the boundaries of their scope of practice and within the organisations policies and protocols, focusing on supporting patients with health needs, promoting self-care, monitoring long term conditions, disease prevention and screening activities. The successful candidate must be able to work with, and understand the roles of, a variety of different people working in the practice including doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, social prescribing link workers, health and wellbeing coaches, clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists, paramedics, practice managers and the wider team. The Nursing Associate will be skilled and competent to work at their registered level, offering a combination of general and specialised care to a group of patients. They will collaborate with General Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, Registered Nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The position holder will be registered with the NMC and have completed their training as a Nursing Associate. The Nursing Associate will provide care within the parameters of their demonstrated competency, as attained during their training. These will include cervical smear tests, wound care, Diabetic foot checks, ABPM, ABPI, INR testing, adult immunisations, adult and paediatric Phlebotomy, ECG. They will be supported by the Registered Nursing Team and supervised by their appointed registered nurse. Recognise and identify when a patient's condition changes and, if necessary, seek assistance from a general practitioner or registered nurse. As appropriate, provide the patient, caregivers, and family with health and care information. Maintain clear concise and legible documentation adhering to standards in accordance with NMC and Practice/PCN policies. Adhere to the Medicines Management Policy in the storing, administering, recording & disposal of Medicines. "}
