The successful applicant will be working in the newly developed Primary Care Network Psychology Team, developing and providing a group programme that meets the needs of the Telford & Wrekin area. We have a very supportive Psychology presence within the Shropshire Telford and Wrekin Care Group, a large Assistant Psychologist group, the opportunity to shadow psychologists, regular psychology meetings to keep everyone informed of developments as well as excellent training. Main duties of the job To support and enhance psychological care by assisting qualified practitioners in the delivery and evaluation of psychological interventions that meet Trust and Directorate objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements and user and carer needs and expectations. To develop and deliver a group programme for PCN Aligned Psychology. To support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service, providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with the Clinical/Counselling Psychologist and within the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures. To work with inpatients, outpatients and staff of the primary care and secondary care mental health services. To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
