The GP will deliver care of the highest clinical standards, working in conjunction with the Urgent Care Hub Clinical Lead, and Service Manager, ensuring the overall performance of the Urgent Care Hub. We deliver specialist support to some of the most complex patients in the system through our Special Allocation Service contract across all boroughs in South-East London and North East London ICSs. We also provide a range of services across Lewisham including: Urgent Care Centre at Lewisham Hospital; NHS Health Checks Programme; Home Visiting Service, led by our experienced team of paramedics; One Care Lewisham - Care Home & Extra Supported Housing; Special Allocation Service (SAS); NHS@Home Service (Virtual Ward) - We are leading the way in SEL by embedding technology at the heart of this service; and more. Responsibilities will include: Provide triage where required Provide complete consultations with assessment, treatment and management of patients of all ages presenting with primary care problems at the GP Urgent Care Hub Record full clinical notes using the GP Urgent Care Hub IT systems Complete all admin work relating to consultations Work as part of the wider clinical team- supporting Nurse Practitioners, HCAs, and GP colleagues and training Doctors Manage referrals of patients on to acute specialities, A&E or community services where required Support the redirection of patients to their registered GP To be successful in this role, you will require the following: Full registration with the GMC; Appropriate qualification to practice medicine in the UK; Completion of GP vocational training or equivalent (MRCGP); Registered on a ICB Principle or Performers List with no restrictions on practice as a GP; 1+ years experience working in general practice; Experience using the EMIS Clinical System. Location: GP Urgent Care Hub, University Hospital Lewisham. Hours: 4 sessions per week (16 hours per week) Full information about us and the role are available in the job description attached.
