Stena Line is recruiting Engine Ratings with passenger vessel experience to join The team onboard Stena Nordica sailing between Rosslare-Fishguard ! As an Engine Rating, you will work with planned maintenance jobs, operational duties and general maintenance of vessel parts managed by the Chief/ Second engineer. The job also includes cleaning, painting and greasing. Some of your key responsibilities: Acting in accordance with your responsibilities in the vessel's emergency organisation. Carrying out engine room watch-keeping duties as directed. Carrying out engine room fire and safety patrols as directed. Assisting in maintaining all engine room firefighting and safety equipment as directed by the second engineer. Be familiar with the relevant parts, procedures and requirements of the SMS contained within the DOCMAP system. Take an active interest in the duties above your rank to ensure confidence in stepping up and the ability to be hands-on. The Must-Haves Fluent in English Valid right to work in the UK and UK National Insurance number Basic STCW training and ENG1 certificates Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats training Engine Watch Rating certificate (III/4) OR Able Seafarer Engine (III/5) CoC Passenger vessel experience is preferred but not essential Interested?
