This post is based in the Telemetry Unit at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) in Queen Square, which is the largest division within the Specialist Hospitals Board of the University College Hospital Foundation NHS Trust. The NHNN is internationally renowned for its clinical practice and world-class clinical neuroscience research. It is closely associated with the Institute of Neurology (ION). Together, NHNN and ION are regarded as the premier neurosciences centre in the UK. In addition to Neurology and Neurosurgery, the NHNN provides comprehensive services in Neurorehabilitation, Neuro-critical care and Neuropsychiatry. The NHNN receives secondary, tertiary and quaternary referrals from across the UK and internationally. This vacancy may close before the current listed closing date. The role of Administration Coordinator is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team working in Neurology’s 7-bed Telemetry Unit and combines administration supporting the clinical physiologists with ward admin support for the nurses when required. The post holder is also required to support the line manager with booking admissions, answering patient queries and ensuring that the administration runs smoothly and efficiently. The post holder will also be involved in the developing home video-telemetry service. The post holder will be required to work closely with other members of the administrative team and clinical teams, including managers, administrators, nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers. This will also include liaising with a range of staff internally and externally across partner and external organisations.
