The post holder will join the 3rd Wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapy stream of complex psychological therapy delivery. We would welcome applicants with an interest in working with psychosis, bipolar as well as other affective difficulties. There will be opportunities for training and CPD with the aim of supporting the successful candidate in expanding competencies and expertise in working with psychosis as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapies. BABCP accreditation would be advantageous in this post. The post holder will be required to work on Tuesdays and Fridays in order to meet the multifaceted needs of the service. The service comprises of a multidisciplinary staff members including psychologists, Art Therapists, OTs, Social Workers, Nurses and Medical Psychotherapists. The service places emphasis on the provision of evidence based therapies (CBT, DBT, MBT, Psychodynamic Therapies, Family Therapy, EMDR, Music and Art therapy) aimed at meeting the diverse needs of our service users, families and carers. As a service the South Glos PTS has a commitment to address issues of structural inequalities and oppression that often create barriers in the provision of equitable care for the service user groups in the Locality. The main focus of the clinical work for this post will be delivering cognitive Behavioural Therapy and integrative therapy on an individual, group and family basis. Day to day work involves psychological assessments, setting up and delivering therapy groups and individual therapy, working closely with Recovery colleagues, offering consultation and supervision and taking part in CBT team supervision. To work closely with referrers, services and colleagues to collaborate around the delivery of psychological interventions. To provide specialist supervision to psychology trainees, assistants psychologists and where appropriate Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners. Teaching training and supervision of multidisciplinary team members will be integral part of the role. The role also offers opportunities for teaching, training and service evaluation/audit.
