Are you an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated paediatric nurse who is passionate about delivering high quality care to the children of Preston and surrounding area? The Paediatric Assessment unit has an opportunity for either a band 6 or band 5 with relevant experience to join our team. We can offer an induction package with a ward based educator. The Trust also offers a package of health and well-being support to all staff. We are a small team but are proud of the service we deliver. We work collectively as a team to constantly evaluate and improve our service where possible. We value everybody's input and see all staff as having a vital role in the delivery of high class, safe and effective care. Working with others we have close links with the inpatient ward, children's outpatients department and paediatric community service. Our ward based team is multi-disciplinary including physios, pharmacist, play specialists, patient experience coordinator and CAMHS team. You will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the unit and will work closely with the ward manager. The role is both a clinical role and a leadership role and as such you will be responsible for staff appraisals, the completion of the off duty in line with Trust policy, liaising with the clinical educator regards training, managing sickness and absence and performance management.
