We are currently looking for 2 enthusiastic and motivated Senior Nurses who have a passion for Emergency Nursing to join our friendly Emergency Department (ED) in the role of 8a Matrons. This is an exciting time to be joining the ED at Newham as we embark on our improvement journey, with an extended practice development team and the expansion of our Same Day Emergency Care and injuries area to offer the best care to our local population. You will have been working as a senior band 7 or already in a Matron role in an ED setting and will have extensive experience of working within Emergency care. You will already hold all the relevant courses and have experience of management. To hold a portfolio which includes clinical leadership, governance, staffing management, quality and performance across various areas of the ED. The Matrons will provide the day-to-day support to the clinical teams, ensuring that there is 24/7 support within the department as well as focusing on the strategic and operational aspects of the ED. You will be self-motivated and an excellent communicator and have proven clinical and organisational skills but also have a desire to learn and develop and work as an integral member of our large and dynamic team.
