We are looking for a Co-ordinator to join our Cancer Services Team, someone who is a confident communicator, who is pro-active, enthusiastic, and a committed individual. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the team, which can also provide the opportunity to both work from home and onsite, as required by the role, following a full training. You will work within our busy Cancer Services department. This is a pivotal role to help achieve the National Cancer Standards and Cancer Waiting Times. The role is to ensure patients are tracked throughout their cancer pathway and are treated in a timely fashion, and this includes attending weekly site specific PTL meetings. Core duties include preparation of the weekly MDT meetings/attend MDT meetings with specialist teams either face to face or virtually through MS Teams and documenting specific information 'live' during these meetings. You will also cross-cover various sites which allows you to learn and gain a deeper understanding of each cancer site. You will need to be flexible and innovative in your approach to your role with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to use your own initiative. Excellent attention to detail and experience of complex data collection, knowledge of medical terminology and a min typing speed of 25wpm would be advantageous. Full training will be given. The role is a 24 month fixed term, full time (37.5 hrs per week) contract. (Monday to Friday). Prepare the lists of patients for discussion at each cancer weekly multidisciplinary meetings (MDT) 2. To facilitate the weekly MDT meetings 3. To ensure the NHS cancer waiting times data for the 28, 31 and 62 day targets is collected, monitored and performance managed prospectively for reporting on a weekly basis. 4. To facilitate and lead the weekly PTL meeting (site specific) 5. To identify potential cancer waiting times breaches with the cancer manager and clinical teams 6. To provide support and cover arrangements to other MDT coordinators 7. To assist the cancer services managers, MDT core members and RUH performance team with data and information as required for both national and local needs for performance monitoring, audit and clinical governance. 8. To ensure the national cancer minimum datasets/cancer outcomes and services data (COSD) are completed.. "}
