We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our Early Intervention in Psychosis service. The PIER Team (Psychosis Intervention and Early Recovery) supports adults experiencing a first episode of psychosis. You will join a multi-disciplinary team committed to minimising the impact of first episode psychosis on individuals and their families. You will be based at the Merlyn Vaz centre in Leicester city but travel countywide to see clients in their homes and local communities. You will work closely with other Clinical Psychologists in the team and be well supported in this rewarding role in a service that really values psychological perspective and input. Training and ongoing professional development will be prioritised. The PIER team is part of an established, psychology led, trauma informed Psychosis Pathway within the Trust. You will join a network of experienced psychologists and psychological therapists committed to promoting a non-pathologizing understanding of distress aimed at reducing stigma, promoting empowerment, and increasing social inclusion. You will work within a multi professional and recovery-oriented framework and receive both clinical supervision and line management from a senior psychologist in the PIER Team. You will hold a case load and deliver evidence-based psychological interventions for psychosis and co-existing mental health issues including family interventions. There will be opportunities to join existing therapeutic groups run within the PIER Team and to develop additional psychologically informed groups. There will also be opportunities to deliver teaching and training both within the team, across the psychosis pathway and on the local DClinPsy training course. You will work with senior colleagues to ensure the continued provision of high quality, responsive psychological therapies which meet NCAP therapy targets, support Step Up to Great Mental Health Service development plans and help to shape a psychologically informed service wide Psychosis Pathway. You will support research, audit and evaluation within PIER. You will support members of the MDT to competently deliver the care required and provide supervision and mentorship to peers and other MDT members. Leicestershire is a diverse and vibrant county.
