CAMHS is part of the CYP-IAPT initiative, and the post holder will use Routine Outcome Measures to influence and evaluate all interventions offered. You will receive clinical and managerial supervision and have opportunity to work with the CAMHS improving access to psychological therapies development framework. We are looking for a suitably-experienced, qualified clinician, who will improve children and young peoples mental health, through providing highly specialist, clinical assessment and treatment within the CAMHS ID team. In accordance with national and local priorities, clinical guidelines, the post holder will be responsive to the needs and views of local children, young people and their families. As a Lead Nurse / Practitioner the post holder will work in partnership with the CAMHS leadership team, Medical Consultants and multi-disciplinary teams, to ensure the highest level of clinical practice in assessment, case management, care co-ordination and treatment. They will be required to ensure that the best evidence-based care is given to children, young people and their families, within the resources available to the service. There will be an emphasis upon working with complex-presenting difficulties and multi-agency networks. We are looking to recruit an experienced Intellectual Disability or Mental health nurse, social worker or OT into the CAMHS Intellectual Disability Team, working with children and young people up to the age of 18 who have a moderate to Severe intellectual disability and a co existing mental health need. The CAMHS ID Team works with children and young people with a range of ID and mental health needs, including trauma, anxiety disorders, depression and behaviours that challenge. The team includes nurses, specialist OT, a Senior Practitioner, Psychiatry, and Clinical Psychology and works alongside the Community ID nursing team. The post covers Amber Valley, Erewash and South Derbyshire. An ability to travel across the County is essential. Our CAMHS has a training and development lead who can support the development of skills within the service. We offer a robust induction package which continues over the first 6 months in post. We have a strong participation team who are integrated into the service. The post holder will be supported to develop knowledge and skills in working systemically with children and families within our experienced, multi-disciplinary teams. We welcome applications from ID or mental health nurses currently working with adults who want to develop a career within CAMHS. Through robust supervision and training opportunities, we will aim to develop your knowledge, skills and experience within a CYP IAPT Service. The CAMHS ID teams work closely together and are an integral part of the wider CAMH Service, we continue to develop links across the service and wider networks to ensure the best outcomes for young people and families. The team has strong links with the local special schools, offering support and consultation as part of the role. The team is supported by a Team Manager and senior clinicians within the service. "}
