For further details please see attached JD&PS. We require an enthusiastic Phlebotomist to work as part of our team within the hospital and community hub. Core hours are 08:00 to 17:00. There will also be an expectation to work flexibly on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday mornings when required. You will be part of a team providing a valuable support function for the entire hospital collecting blood samples from Inpatients on Derriford's wards. Applicants must have a basic general education and knowledge of phlebotomy; excellent communication skills, be able to deal with patients and staff with tact and diplomacy; and the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidates will be expected to train during the core working week. Payment for training will be made at AfC band 2 Standard rate. Arrangements for training will be discussed at interview. The hours of work can be discussed at interview. Please note that the service is evolving as demand increasing so there will be an expectation to participate in rotas that offer a 7 day service which can be between the hours of 6am and 6pm.
