We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is able to work well in a well respected multi-disciplinary team and alone when necessary. To assist maintaining databases, receiving and distributing information, and providing administrative support to the Ward. Answering telephone, receiving clients, attending clients on multiple hospital systems, answering telephone, processing clinic outcomes, making follow-up appointments, filing and any other admin duties. The Women’s Health Unit houses the 8 bedded labour ward and has a delivery rate of 1800 per annum. There is a dedicated Theatre within the labour ward and also facilities for water births. A 24-hour epidural service is available and a dedicated Consultant Anaesthetist is available for all morning sessions. There is a well-equipped ante-natal clinic with 3 ultrasound rooms and a Day Assessment Unit. There is an Obstetric ward with a transitional care Baby Unit. The midwifery team are based in the community and well established with approximately 4% of the deliveries, out of Hospital. The Women’s Health Unit also houses the Gynaecology Clinic, which has facilities for Colposcopy and Minimal Invasive Surgery. There is a separate fully equipped Urodynamic Unit. We also provide a Termination Service with the Support of the Sexual Health Service. The counselling of women who request termination, outpatient clinic service and Medical Termination is provided by the Sexual Health Service and the O & G service provide the surgical termination element. There is an Early Pregnancy Service and separate Fertility Clinics. The Obstetric and Gynaecology Directorate has dedicated beds on the surgical ward- Warrington. This Ward accommodates major in-patient surgery, whilst there is an independent unit for Day Surgery. The ward also has a treatment room which is used also as an assessment area and a place where ward attenders are seen.
