We are looking for a reliable, confident, friendly part time receptionist/clerical officer to cover reception and switchboard services working at Parkway Health Centre and Lennard Road as above. The opening hours for all community bases are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. We require a part time Receptionist/Clerical Officer for 21 hours per week as follows: Lennard Road – Wednesday afternoons - 12 – 5pm. Parkway Health Centre – All day Thursdays & Fridays - 8.30 – 5pm . The post holder will be required to contribute to the smooth running of the base by providing clerical support to the Service Administrator and clinical services within the building. The post is part of a broader clerical team; therefore, the successful candidate will be required to work at other Croydon clinics to cover staff absences. Flexibility and a helpful can do attitude are therefore essential. The reception/clerical team is the first point of contact for patients and members of the public, contractors and staff. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high standard of customer care combined with the ability to work calmly in a sometimes stressful and busy environment. Experience in dealing with members of the public is required. It is essential that applicants have good written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent organisation and time management skills. The ability to prioritise work and respond to enquiries in a professional manner is vital. Applicants should be able to work unsupervised, using their own initiative. Applicants must be computer literate and a working knowledge of Emis and Cerner databases will be an advantage, however training can be provided if necessary.
