We have an exciting opportunity to join our Therapies Department in the dynamic 1st floor (orthopaedic) team as a full time Occupational Therapist (Band 6). The team covers both Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge General Hospitals working across elective and emergency orthopaedic surgery and our regional elective surgical hub working closely with our multidisciplinary teams. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to come and join us and can support flexible working requests. The team have an office base on each site, and assessment space available to them. As a skilled clinician, assess, plan and deliver individualised programme of intervention evaluating the effectiveness for patients presenting with diverse andcomplex problems. Giving advice to patients and their carers when required. Working autonomously and having the freedom to act, with indirect supervision, prioritise and plan own caseload according to needs of the patient and resourcesavailable. Gain advice and support from a Senior AHP when required, clinical work isnot routinely monitored by others. Working with the Team Leader/AHP managers, proactively contribute to the discussions on service and policy development and implement in the workplace as directed. Ensure the effective and efficient and safe prescriptions of standard and specialised community equipment to meet the patient needs in a timely manner. To educate relatives/carers in the correct use of prescribed equipment when appropriate. Be responsible for the effective manual and computer recording of patient interventions accurately and appropriately, following Service/ Trust Policy. "}
