Academic and on the job training will be provided, and an allowance for study time to support completion of relevant qualifications is also included. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of manual dexterity in using a range of engineering tools and test equipment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to working in both a clinical and workshop environments. Experience and/or interest in fault-finding techniques of mechanical/electrical equipment is desirable. The apprenticeship is fixed term for 4 years, and upon apprenticeship completion you will move to a band 4 position. Main duties of the job Band 3 Apprentice Mechanical Engineer to undertake a 4 year training program: You will receive full training throughout the 4-year apprenticeship, provided from both in-house and external training providers, as well as academic training and qualifications from Weston College.
