We are looking for a therapy assistant to work 7.5 hours a day across a 5 day week. The post supports weekend working on a rota system. The post holder will be working across the neurology therapy teams and will support the physiotherapists/occupational therapists in providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation interventions to patients. The post will involve a wide range of duties including assisting the physiotherapist/occupational therapists to deliver treatment programmes to patients, clerical, administration, involving work with computers and housekeeping duties. The posts will support the timely discharge of patients from the neurology wards across the Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge sites. You will be expected to have a good standard of general education including maths, English and basic computer skills. Recent and relevant experience in a health care setting is essential. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will show a good awareness of patients needs. We are looking for someone who is flexible and enthusiastic. This is a physically demanding role. It is essential to be able to show initiative, to be able to work effectively without direct supervision and to be able to take responsibility for delegated duties, under the guidance of a physiotherapist/occupational therapist.
