We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cardiothoracic Nurse to work with the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team within the Transplant Unit at Harefield Hospital. The role of the CNS in Transplant Coordination (TXCO) is multi-faceted, encompassing advanced clinical assessment skills and advanced communication/organisational skills. As a CNS in TXCO you will be responsible for providing specialist nursing knowledge and expertise to patients, their families and other healthcare professionals. The post holder will be expected to hold a high degree of personal professional autonomy and as appropriate, make necessary clinical judgements pertaining to the patient group. Service provision is required 24-hours daily, therefore on call is utilised to provide out of hours cover. Please note a Band 6 may be offered to a suitable candidate who does not have the appropriate experience, training will be given and when competence achieved a Band 7 will be approved .
