Full time position. Must have a minimum of 2 years NHS experience. The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is the largest specialist orthopaedic Trust in the UK with a world renowned reputation. We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic HCPC registered radiographer with good general X-ray experience to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will rotate between the two sites (Stanmore and Bolsover Street). DXA scanning experience is desirable but not essential and training will be given where required. The X-ray department has 5 general x-ray rooms (3 at the main site in Stanmore and 2 at Bolsover Street in central London) 1 fluoroscopy unit , 5 portable ward machines and a DXA scanner. There are 15 theatres along with image intensifiers, there are also O-Arm and Cios Spin machines. We have also acquired EOS and HiRise Ped CT scanners which will be installed in October 2024. The X-ray department opens Monday to Saturday with on- call cover during out of hours, and bank holidays. The department is closed on Sundays. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious general radiographer to gain experience in specialised orthopaedic imaging The post holder will work across all areas of the X-ray department including theatres, fluoroscopy, out-patients /in-patient main x-ray and the DXA unit. You will be expected to provide high quality diagnostic images whilst ensuring patient care and safety is paramount. You will work closely with other members of the team including radiologists, radiographers and assistants and will be expected to be a senior presence within the department and involved in the teaching of students and more junior members of staff. You will be an integral part of the smooth running of the imaging service and communicate effectively with a wide range of staff and patient groups. You will be expected to manage your workload effectively, applying knowledge and skill to produce high quality images and adapt techniques to meet complex patient requirements. "}
