We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. The shift pattern for this position is Mon - Fri and will be based at Vale Centre for Health and Care, Main Street, Alexandria, G83 0UA or Dumbarton Health Centre, Station road, Dumbarton, G82 1PW We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Health Visitor to join the West Dunbartonshire Children and Families Team. This post provides an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives and to work in a dynamic environment. As a caseload manager you will be expected to provide a high quality, safe, and effective health visiting service in the community, working in collaboration with partner agencies. You will function as an independent, autonomous practitioner and should have in-depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience in health visiting, child protection and the GIRFEC Framework. You will be responsible and accountable for the ongoing management of your caseload to ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the Universal Health Visiting Pathway and additional programs of care. West Dunbartonshire HSCP provides team members with ongoing opportunities for continued learning and development.
