Main duties of the job To triage patient referrals to the service ensuring they are appropriate patients, and that they are seen promptly.Request relevant tests, prescribe medications if necessary and make onward referrals. The post holder will respond to test results and communicate these to the patient, GP and other health care professionals. The post holder will provide education and advice to ensure the patient is engaged with their treatment plan. They will work within the multidisciplinary team. They will be involved in the development of policies and participate in audits, clinical governance and research.
