Who You Are You are a self-motivated, driven and enthusiastic, GPhC registered pharmacy technician. The post requires S(N)VQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, and HNC Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualifications to the same level. You will already be working within a GP practice as a pharmacy technician or have community/hospital pharmacy background and have transferrable skills for the role. You must be innovative, with strong leadership skills to manage and support the pharmacy team in primary care. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support patient care, staff management and engagement and close working with GP Practice Teams. You should always be promoting NHS Lothian's values of quality, teamwork, care and compassion, dignity and respect, and openness, honesty and responsibility. You will have experience of involvement in the development and education of others. The ideal candidate will need to work closely with the existing Lead Pharmacy Technician to help develop a strategic plan for the technician workforce, identify and support training and development and harness a positive working environment for the team to thrive within.
