The successful candidate will be supported by a large department of Dietitians and Dietetic Assistants. We are looking for a dynamic individual with previous administration experience who wants to further develop their skills and become part of our team. Their main role will involve the coordination of patients discharged on nutritional support. This involves the organisation of patient training, liaison with local community trusts and enteral feed companies. They will therefore be integral to the patient’s journey home. The post-holder will have exceptional communication, organisation and prioritisation skills. The successful applicant will be confident in Excel, Word and general computer skills. The post-holder will ensure that the dietetic discharge and administrative systems are up to date support the department by ensuring they can deliver high quality care. To support the department with enteral feed discharges politely and efficiently with any queries or requests that are received, answering requests where appropriate and liaising with other staff when necessary. To demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to exercise diplomacy and a good telephone manner To pass on calls and enquiries to relevant team members ensuring urgent messages are prioritised To establish good working multidisciplinary links to provide an optimum service. To maintain absolute confidentiality regarding all matters relating to the service, including but not limited to patient information.
