There will be an expectation of supervision and support of our Band 6 physiotherapist. Main duties of the job They will provide clinical expertise for the application of instrumented movement analysis in the wide range of patient groups referred to the department. The role will involve collecting both video and instrumented gait analysis data; including kinematics, kinetics, EMG and physical examination. The post holder will be responsible for data processing and reporting, along with presenting at multidisciplinary meetings where relevant. Data collection sessions are conducted alongside Clinical Scientists who provide technical expertise throughout and will also report and present data at MDTs in a similar way. The post holder would be expected to hold greater clinical responsibility for the gait service and reporting process, with scientists holding greater technical responsibility. Clinical input to the electrical stimulation services will also be required for both the Upper and Lower Limb FES pathway, including inpatient pathways. The user groups for this are people with neurological impairment of walking, for example MS or stroke.
