We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. An opportunity has arisen within the Endoscopy Service in the South Sector based in New Victoria ACH but also covering QEUH and Gartnavel General Hospital for a highly motivated individual to undertake the role of Waiting List Manager for Endoscopy. The post holder will provide support to the Clinical Service Manager and Service Support Manager to effectively manage and take a proactive role in the continual development of inpatient Waiting List Administration. Knowledge of New Ways policy and Waiting Time targets is essential. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of waiting list management, including the associated actions required to meet Waiting Time targets. The post holder should have proven experience in database management (e.g. Microstrategy), advanced Microsoft Excel skills with a working knowledge of office and IT applications. Advanced Trakcare knowledge would be an advantage. It is essential that the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and be able to provide advice and direction in relation to all aspects of waiting list management. The post holder will be required to provide regular reports and updates to the management team. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a flexible approach to work are required for this post. The post is full time 37 hours worked Monday to Friday.
