We are looking for an individual that would enjoy working in an exciting and challenging environment, who has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills along with the aptitude for working independently when required. Previous experience within a Urology environment would be an advantage, although opportunities for personal and professional development within the role are available. The successful applicant will be a proactive team member who can demonstrate an ability to effectively contribute and manage; in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Lead Urology Nurse and members of the Urology MDT; the smooth effective operation of the Centre. Main duties of the job The post holder will assist in delivering a service which meets target standards and promotes a creative and innovative approach to on-going service development, including the mentoring and management of junior staff, and driving forward Achieving Excellence within the department. On a daily basis the post holder will act as a manager and coordinator for any of the areas within Urology Centre, and the activity across the Urology team. The role involves leadership to a named group of nurses and participation in the collaborative management of the Urology Centre. The post holder will be a resource nurse for the area and will act as a link in promoting an integrated specialist service. Ensure effective communication and interpersonal skills with other members of the team. Promote a friendly and welcome atmosphere for both team members and patients. Be courteous, helpful and supportive to patients and staff at all times maintaining the values and behaviours ethos within the Trust.
