The ECC provides specialist cancer services for the South East of Scotland Cancer Network, treating oncology and haematology patients within pharmacist day-case, OPD and in-patient settings. It is a specialist tertiary referral centre for a number of rarer cancers, and has a teenage and young adult unit. The ECC has a broad research portfolio and participates in a wide range of cancer clinical trials. You will join a supportive pharmacy team, committed to the development of services to cancer patients. In addition to clinical duties within haematology and oncology inpatient, daycase and outpatient areas, our well supported band 7 rotational posts include time within Homecare services and supporting the ChemoCare (Chemotherapy Electronic Prescribing and Administration System) team, giving a breadth of training across cancer services. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic pharmacist to join the pharmacy team delivering the highest quality pharmacy services across these areas. The post holder will contribute to the development and delivery of the clinical pharmacy service in cancer care. This is an exciting time with new treatments in the horizon, including clinical trials. There will also be service improvement and personal development opportunities such as independent prescribing roles for those aspiring to develop their clinical practice.
