QVH’s dietitians promote nutritional well-being, treat disease and prevent nutrition related problems, serving both QVH inpatients and the local community. You will be working alongside the team of Dietitians , Therapy Rehabilitation Assistants and other professionals based in the newly refurbished QVH Rehabilitation Unit. You will help to provide therapeutic intervention across the service. The role can encompass work on hospital wards, in outpatient clinics and domiciliary/ care facilities including rest homes & nursing homes. This role will enable you to use your own initiative whilst under the direct or distant supervision of a qualified Dietitian who all have previous experiences of working closely with a Dietetic assistant. You will also have opportunities to help with service improvement projects including audits and implementation of new ideas. We pride ourselves on sharing knowledge between professionals and working closely as a small team. We strongly support career progression and therefore will look to offer this dependent on the most suitable applicant’s level of previous experience. Clinical support and training will be provided as necessary. To provide therapeutic intervention to patients who have been seen and remain under the care of the Dietitians To assist in case history taking and information gathering To assist the dietitian in organising and running sessions/ clinics and groups within a range of settings including the rehabilitation unit and within the community within nursing/ care homes To help with creation of resources used with patients, families and amongst professionals To assist with delivery of training within the hospital and local communit Rated GOOD overall with outstanding care by the CQC.
