The jobs advertised is one FT of 37.5 hrs and one PT of 27 hrs working shifts between 08.30 and 18:00. We host and support a variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, HPB, General Surgery, Renal &Transplant, Colorectal and Urology and many others. Outpatients is a friendly, progressive and encouraging working environment, within very pleasant surroundings. The focus of all our effort is to continually enhance patient care delivery whilst supporting the multi-disciplinary specialties that use our services. We are seeking to recruit dynamic, compassionate, motivated and caring Nurses to join our friendly, forward thinking team. You will be expected to maintain high standards of care with compassion and commitment. You will need to effectively engage with your patients, peer groups, and service users in all elements of the role, leading by example and promoting a supportive and caring culture. This will require an inclusive, transparent, open approach to your role, whereby you are accountable to others and to go that extra mile when required. You will be passionate, creating a culture of continuous improvement, where patient welfare is at the heart of all you do. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of evidenced-based nursing care to a group of patients. Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing care. Act as a clinical and professional role model, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement within the clinical area. This role can involve frequent walking and standing for long periods of time. The post holder must have the physical capability to use manual handling equipment i.e. hoists, trolleys and wheelchairs. You may be required to work in other designated locations of the Trust as well as your primary base. In particular, flexibility is required across four areas including Leicester Royal Infirmary, Glenfield Hospital, Loughborough NCSEM and Leicester General Hospital .If your initial location is one of these sites excess travel reimbursement would not apply for a permanent or temporary change of base.
