The post holder will provide psychological assessment and interventions to children with a range of neurological conditions and their families, working closely with specialist paediatric consultants and allied health professionals. Main duties of the job The post holder will ensure the systematic provision of a high quality clinical psychology service to patients and families within the neurology service, working closely with specialist paediatric consultants and allied health professionals. This will include evidence-based psychological and developmental assessment, recommendations to inform decision-making in relation to holistic person-centred intervention, and extensive consultation to professional colleagues and other agencies involved in the child's care. Development of working relationships and pathways across the sector is encouraged, with excellent opportunities for continuing professional development. The post holder will also be expected to contribute to the flexible delivery of psychology services across the Trust, in response to new developments and organisational changes. The post holder will also be expected to work flexibly within PAMHS, including carrying out clinical work in other specialties according to service need. The successful candidate will join a large, supportive team of psychologists working across GOSH and will be able to access the learning and opportunities that come with being part of a large psychology service at a leading children's hospital. This post will be linked to the neurology service and the post holder will provide psychological assessment, formulation and interventions to children with a range of neurological conditions and their families.
