We are also seeking outstanding personal qualities such as self-motivation, communication skills and a professional aptitude to work Your role will be that of a Nursing Assistant to the qualified theatre practitioners i.e. Theatre Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners within the theatre department. Your main responsibility will be ensuring equipment is available for surgeons, scrub and anaesthetic practitioners and supporting them during the surgical procedure, accurately completing patient paperwork and updating the computer system in a timely manner. Participating in theatre team briefs and the WHO checklists for safer surgery. The role also includes many other duties for example waste management, stock rotation, medical devices and to undertake any departmental audits. Applications are welcome from all areas of healthcare. If you have transferable skills and experience but not the qualifications, we may be able to offer an apprenticeship role to support your development. Please note, this is subject to apprenticeship eligibility checks. Work under the overall supervision of a registered practitioner. Be responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of delegated personal care to patients within the ward/department team.
