The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hard working, & have experience of working on an acute surgical ward. We want a nurse who is kind & compassionate. Informal visits are welcomed. Main duties of the job Deputise for ward manager in their absence. Take charge of ward regularly and co-ordinate patients and staff. Manage own team of staff and perform appraisals, and other HR duties such as sickness management etc. Main Duties/Key Results Areas: To have responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others and to comply at all times with the requirement of the Health and Safety Regulations. To ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and its amendments.
