We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to join our Brighton & Hove Recovery Service Flex Team assessing and engaging with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. The Flex Team will work within the multi-disciplinary service as outreach-tasked Recovery Coordinators. Flex Team Recovery Coordinators will also be expected to explore working hours and patterns which better suit the needs of people who are limited in their ability to engage with the service 9am-5pm on weekdays. Our vibrant Brighton service team includes service managers, consultant psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, recovery staff, volunteers, administrators, and Peer Mentors. Where Brighton Hours Full time, 37.5 per week Full Tine Salary £27,449.52 - £31,529.41 pro rata, dependent on experience About the role Managing an outreach-tasked caseload of people aged 18+ seeking drug and alcohol treatment support, from the point of entry to treatment and throughout their journey with the service. Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community Promoting carer, service user and community involvement Offer short-term structured treatment interventions over the telephone and video calls with competent use of digital communications technology Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination Contacting people who have been referred to the Flex Team within 3 days (including weekends). Engage with debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators after groups/pods have taken place, reviewing progress and identifying concerns with service users Tailor specific workshops around the needs of the service users, such as anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc Work collaboratively with the services clinical team, psychology staff, workforce development and quality & governance to provide evidence-based, free, confidential and non-judgemental support Assessment of individual risk and need including the use of AUDIT (alcohol use disorders identification test) and SADQ (severity of alcohol dependence questionnaire) tools. Collaborative working with clinical practitioners to evaluate and support medical needs, coordinate opiate substitute treatment, carry out drug screening test, preparatory work and reports for further treatment support About you Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
