This post will be split into the following: you will work 18.75 hours (0.5 WTE) in the Forensic Psychological Speciality Team and 18.75 hours (0.5) in the Digital Therapies Team. What You Will Do 18.75 hours (0.5 WTE) Forensic: this post will be based at Ayrshire Central Hospital. The post will support and enhance the professional psychological care of patients within the specialist services, providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified Principal Clinical Psychologist, working independently according to a job plan agreed with a qualified Psychologist and within the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures. You will also assist in clinically-related administration, conduct of audits and collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work. You will be supported by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and will work alongside experienced Psychologists as part of the Forensic Psychological Specialty within NHS Ayrshire and Arran. 18.75 hours (0.5 WTE) Digital Therapies: this post will be based in the Digital Therapies Team hosted in the North Ayrshire Adult Psychological Therapies Team. The service provides evidence based psychological interventions delivered through the Silvercloud platform to the population of Ayrshire and Arran, with dedicated clinical and administrative support. The role will support and enhance the professional psychological care of patients within the specialist service, providing guidance and support in the completion of online resources. In addition, the role requires the individual to review progress and engagement of patients completing interventions under the weekly clinical supervision of a qualified professional psychologist. To develop information resources, undertake literature reviews and teach on psychological aspects of care to other Professional staff. To undertake research, service evaluation and audit under the guidance of a clinical psychologist. This work will be undertaken independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the teams’ policies and procedures. Full-time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings. NHS Ayrshire and Arran will implement this change but it may not be possible to fully transition from 1 April and there may therefore be some areas of the organisation where implementation may take longer. If the department is currently unable to safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week (pro rata for part-time staff) until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety - you will, of course, be remunerated accordingly.
