We are looking to recruit a band 7 nurse to provide specialist nutrition nursing to patients receiving home enteral tube feeding in Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan. This role will involve the leadership and development of our Community Nutrition Nurse Service. You will provide clinical leadership to a band 6 Nutrition Nurse. You will have experience of working as a Nutrition Nurse, and have excellent communication and time management skills. The successful applicant will need to have a good knowledge of community services and be able to demonstrate the leadership qualities required to succeed. Excellent organisational skills will be essential to meet the demands of this role. The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge and experience of tube feeding. The role will involve training and education to patients, carers and HCPs. You will work closely with dietetic colleagues to ensure a patient-centred service is delivered to patients in their homes. The post holder will be required to provide support across the geographical area of Cardiff and Vale. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the efficient delivery of the community nutrition nurse service, ensuring effective patient centred service delivery within the financial and workforce resource. This will include: Co-ordination of the Community Nutrition Nurse Service Highly specialist nursing, including visits to patient's homes and nursing homes. Clinical supervision and leadership Service Development and Improvement. You will work within a friendly and highly skilled department and have opportunities for professional and personal development. You will be actively involved in the research, audit and the Quality and Safety agenda of the department and Cardiff and Vale UHB.
