The AF-NECVCU tailor victims’ needs in a professional, sensitive and empathetic manner to support recovery and prevent re-victimisation through its core values; Engagement, Support and Empowerment. Engagement: Advice is tailored to the victims’ needs, we collaborate with partner agencies and engage with the public. Support: Providing focussed and targeted engagement to deal with the Victims needs in an Empathetic, Sensitive and Compassionate way with Fairness and Dignity. Empowerment: We are respectful and champion the victims’ needs, providing confidence and reassurance The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the trailblazing Action Fraud National Economic Crime Victim Care Unit (AF-NECVCU) as a Victim Care Reviewer. An empathetic, problem solving, communicative individual with a keen interest in victim support would be an ideal candidate. The Victim Care Reviewer’s (VCR) role is, through telephone contact, to provide an initial assessment of the victim’s needs and through specialist support ensure the victim is safeguarded, supported and provided with Protect and Crime Prevention Advice to prevent re-victimisation to ensure that the NECVCU’s core objectives are achieved – that the victims feel safer following interaction and are less likely to become a repeat victim.
