Whether you're newly qualified, finishing your degree, or looking for a new challenge this post will suit a dynamic band 5 Dietitian looking to experience a varied caseload within a supportive and friendly team. Following a service review in our dietetic department we have a number of job opportunities across teams who cover: Acute Medicine; Healthcare of Older People and Stroke; Surgery and Specialist Medicine which including Infectious Disease and Respiratory. Each of these teams have Band 6's and Band 7's to be able to provide clinical supervision, support and guidance. We are part of a large friendly department with opportunities to complete attachments in a number of specialist dietetic areas including oncology, renal, HIV, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, weight management and bariatrics, gastroenterology, paediatrics and community nutrition support. Alongside the senior colleagues within our teams we also have a wealth of specialist dietetic staff across our department to be able to provide support as you build your clinical knowledge. All of our newly qualified starters are enrolled on our preceptorship programme and have a designated mentor. This ensures clinical and professional support is available as you start your dietetic career and we welcome you into our department. This post is a great platform on which to start or continue to build your dietetic career! You will be part of a supportive, forward thinking team of Dietitians and Assistant Practitioners who are enthusiastic about providing high quality dietetic care and are working on a range of service improvement projects to maximise effectiveness. We are focused on delivering the highest quality care to our patients, both in the hospital setting and on discharge. You will be confident in working within a variety of multidisciplinary teams and advocating for the best nutritional care for the patient. Our Trust uses electronic documentation systems to help facilitate efficient working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills are required. Whilst a car is not essential flexibility is required in order to facilitate cover for the caseload across our hospital sites. The Trust is committed to providing a 7 day therapy service with participation in bank holiday cover for dietetics. The Trust is a multi-site organisation, you may be required to work at any of the Trust sites and you may need to change your normal place of work, either temporarily or on a permanent basis, as a result of development or reorganisation of Trust services.
