A leadership opportunity has arisen at Forston Clinic as a Therapies Lead. As a Therapies Lead you will lead a team of therapists and exercise instructors and be responsible for the Therapy Service within Forston Clinic. You will facilitate the recovery journey through specialist input and provide specialist therapies involvement using evidence-based client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention with people with Mental Health needs and their carers. You will be responsible for the planning, developing, and evaluating of the Therapy provision in line with service developments and work in close liaison with other managers and lead clinicians within the service. This is a full time post Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:00. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred services with a focus on integrated care which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity. Day-to-day management and leadership of the clinical team. Acting as a champion for clinical standards and for continuous improvement in the service user experience. Ensure the delivery of up-to-date evidence-based practice and contribute to the planning and design of services in line with Trust, locality, and government objectives to meet the needs of local people. Co-ordinating student placements and ensuring that the therapies team provides a high standard of undergraduate clinical education. Current areas of service improvement within the team include: The development of sensory assessment, guidelines, and recommendations alongside the Trusts Professional Lead for OT's sensory workstream. Working in partnership with Dorset Mental Health Forum in delivering the Trusts Autism in Acute Inpatient Mental Health Settings Project across 10 inpatient acute and dementia wards Working along side the Hospital to Home Transition Service to support the transition of people back into the community after an admission on the acute wards.
