An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to become part of our Allied Health Professional Team. As the successful post holder you will be based in Nairn Town and County Hospital providing care to community patients in both Nairn and Nairnshire or ward in patients. You will be expected to provide comprehensive assessments and plan the management of patients with a diverse range of conditions which will include frail elderly, neurological conditions and post falls and fractures. In addition, you will have delegation and supervisory responsibility to B4 and B3 staff members. Although expected to practice independently, you will be part of the Occupational therapy team and receive full support from senior Occupational Therapy practitioners and Physiotherapy colleagues. You are likely to liaise closely with care at home and enablement staff and the wider MDT staff members. You may have completed rotational posts and be seeking to specialise in elderly care or be a new graduate and seeking a permanent post to develop your skills and abilities in a supportive environment. The AHP department offers a formal in service training programme which you will both lead and participate in and you will also have access to the wider organisational training opportunities.
