With the support of the midwifery team, maternity health care assistant will have the skills and the knowledge to support women in pregnancy and postnatal period, to support them on making healthy choices for themselves and their babies. The maternity Health care assistant will carry out assigned tasks involving direct care of the mothers and their babies in support of and under the general supervision of the midwife.
