An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 Staff Nurses (Child Health) to join our team and work within a designated surgical day case area, caring for paediatric patients pre and post-surgery (ophthalmology/dental/ENT/general/plastics) as well as our medical activity that supports a wide range of investigatory and treatments (bloods and pre-assessment clinic, Allergy testing, Imaging). Ideally we are looking for an experienced full-time, Band 5 RN Child, with part time options considered. Working closely with the Children’s Ward and assessment unit team you will deliver care to a high standard, supporting CYP through the pathways, including pre-assessment and pre/post-operative care, infusion regimes, blood clinics, food challenge and skin prick clinics for example. We are looking for a registered nurse (Child Health) who is motivated and a driven individual to take up this position. You will possess excellent communication skills and ideally will have experience of working in this area. General hours of work are expected to be 8-4pm Mon-Fri. Please note potential requirement to move to other areas of paediatrics for service need may be required at times of extremis, including paediatric inpatient areas.
