You will need to be pro-active and enthusiastic in your role, share our organisational values & be looking for an opportunity to join our highly skilled team of Emergency Practitioners and qualified staff in our Practitioner Led Unit. We are therefore looking for a Healthcare Assistant with experience of working in an Acute health care setting and with a NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare. Applications from experienced HCAs with extended skills such as venepuncture and ECGs would be welcome. You must be a team player, have the ability to plan and organise your workload under the direction of the Practitioners and trained staff. The North Cotswold Hospital has a dedicated minor injury & illness unit (MIiU) open 7 days a week & the post holder will be required to work a full range of shifts. Our hours of service are 0800-2000hrs. Based in the MIiU, you will be required to provide a high standard of care to Adult & Paediatric patients and applicants will also be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other department duties including some administration and Reception duties. To assist in the delivery of high quality patient care, promoting rehabilitation and independence for those patients attending the MIiU under the supervision of the qualified unscheduled care practitioner (ENP/EP) and Band 5 Staff. Maintain stock levels and ensure timely ordering of consumables and assist in keeping the clinical environment clean and tidy on a daily basis. Support patients from the point of registration through to treatment and discharge. Work alongside a clinician to facilitate planned returns dressings.
