Purpose To support the Therapy staff to provide high-quality holistic person-centred care and support to service users to reach their full rehabilitation potential. Experience, Skills And Ability Understanding of health/social care sector work Experience of working with people in a care setting Experience with acquired brain injuries and physical disabilities is desirable but not essential Skilled in interacting with all types of people Proven experience of working within a team Good communication skills, both verbal and written Able to work within policies and procedures An ability to work under supervision but also autonomously when appropriate An ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate daily workload An ability to build effective working relationships Key Responsibilities Together with the multi-disciplinary team responsible to ensure optimum cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and functional needs are addressed. To support service users with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses, who have specialist palliative or neurological needs Responsible to ensure that the service users individual rights and choices are actively promoted and supported, and their beliefs and preferences appropriately acknowledged Responsible to report status and variances in treatment and condition to the appropriate Therapist at the earliest opportunity and progress treatment as advised by the Therapist Where appropriate, responsible to review, order and fit equipment and work with service users and their carers/family to demonstrate its safe use, either in the centre or in service users home Responsible to liaise with service users and family members to help complete forms, gather information and co-ordinate interventions To support the Therapy Team by completing administrative tasks such as gathering referrals, recording monthly activity data Responsible to collect, collate, evaluate, and report information, maintaining accurate service user records in all formats, including written and electronic information systems Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks For more information, please call LKA Recruitment on 01206 616695 option 3 or email your CV to"}
