Working alongside the Cardiothoracic Surgeons, the Surgical Care Practitioner will participate in operative procedures and aspects of pre, intra and post-operative care of surgical patients. The post holder will be expected to undertake these duties with a high degree of clinical skills and knowledge and the aim to provide high quality patient care throughout the surgical pathway. The Surgical Care Practitioner will be able to provide skilled and consistent assistance in all aspects of elective and emergency adult cardiac and thoracic surgery. The post holder will demonstrate extensive expertise in endoscopic conduit harvesting - both vein and radial artery.
