To provide an exemplary Ward Clerk/Reception service to PICU and ensure that clerical needs are met on a daily basis. To maintain real time bed management & a high standard of data quality. Main duties of the job To ensure that hospital systems are updated in real time. To implement Business Continuity plans when computerised systems are unavailable, and assist in data entry following system outage. To be able to communicate effectively with parents and all visitors. To welcome, meet and greet all visitors in a professional courteous manner. To deal with all enquiries in a helpful and sensitive manner. To be able to recognise difficult situations and help diffuse them whilst retaining composure & willingness to assist.
