The shift pattern is Monday to Thursday 9-5 Friday 9-4.30 pm An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker within our integrated, health and social care, Learning Disability team covering West Dunbartonshire. The Post Involves Supporting clients with complex health needs. An opportunity to develop skills and experience working alongside a dedicated team of professional staff. support to implement care plans from learning disability nursing, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy. Applications are invited from individuals who have a desire to demonstrate and deliver compassionate caring behaviours to fulfil the key functions of the community Learning Disability Team. Good interpersonal skills Previous experience of caring for individuals with Learning disability is desirable. Be willing to complete mandatory training, and to continue to develop skills relevant to needs of service users, and the Team. Main Duties Of The Job Provide high quality care and support to people accessing the service, working in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, carers, families and a range of agencies. Provide support which is therapeutic while also maintaining individuals’ safety and dignity. This may involve working with those that have behaviours that challenge. Assist in establishing care plans and in the delivery of care. The expectation will be to work within the boundaries of agreed instruction, whilst being supported within Team procedures and policies Work in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, carers, families and a range of agencies. The post holder will receive regular supervision and have access to relevant training opportunities. Applicants are required to travel within West Dunbartonshire and surrounding areas including the catchment area of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
