The Head of People and Culture is a Business Partner role , leading and driving the development of strategic people plans for the Clinical Boards. The post holder will report to the Associate Director of People and Culture and will be professionally responsible to the Executive Director of People and Culture. The role will ensure that effective and appropriate strategic P&C Plans are in place to develop a highly skilled, competent and motivated workforce which support service and professional transformation to benefit patient care. The post holder will be responsible for establishing a new way or working across Clinical Boards; liaising with all stakeholders to design this new approach. In this role, the post holder will provide expert strategic Workforce & OD advice to the Clinical Boards. The post holder will be a senior HR and OD professional within the UHB and a key member of the Executive Director’s Senior Team. The post holder will also use highly specialised skills and expert knowledge of employment legislation, HR policy and practice, organisational development approaches. They will have an understanding of the broad and complex range of services provided by the UHB in order to analyse, interpret and advise on complex matters relating to any and all employment situations, deciding on the appropriate course of action where required. The post holder will be required to build credible and effective working relationships with all Stakeholders; especially Clinical Board Teams in the development and delivery of the People and Culture agenda.
