The service has 30 inpatient beds. We provide on going Assessment and Rehabilitation for our Elderly population. We work closely within the MDT to meet the specific needs of the patients including Physio, OT, Dietician, Tissue Viability and Psychiatry. Ward 6 also provides ongoing care for patients awaiting discharge to Home as well as Alternative Care. As part of the team you will contribute to the delivery of high standards of care as to support and manage patients with complex needs. You will work closely with the Senior Charge Nurse to ensure effective management and operation of the ward. This post requires experience in an elderly or medical setting and the relevant knowledge and skills to lead, motivate and develop staff within the service. This is an opportunity for someone wishing to further develop their knowledge and skills within the Rehabilitation Setting and, as a role model, create a supportive ethos in the provision of a high quality service as set out in Nursing Assurance Framework. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. Your offer/contract of employment will therefore reflect the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
