The ward is a 30-bedded unit that provides care for acute elderly patients with various medical illnesses. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver a high quality of care and support our patients to enable them to achieve a safe discharge home or into a care setting more relevant to their needs. We are looking for hardworking, motivated, and caring nurses to join our team. The post holder should be a team player, have good communication skills, and be able to deliver a high quality of care whilst working with the Trust's CARES framework. An interview date is yet to be confirmed. Participate in all ward activities as an effective team member, supporting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse and Sister, taking delegated team leadership responsibilities. To assess care needs, and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. To teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff, and to act as a role model to junior staff. To take responsibility and accountability for a group of patients. Ensure that research based nursing care within the ward is of a high standard and in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures. By monitoring patient care, supervising juniors, and evaluating the care that is delivered. Maintain individual patient care plans, evaluating and updating them as necessary to ensure that the patient’s physical, social and psychological needs are met. The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services, including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.
