You must be registered with: Health Care Professions Council This post should appeal to a radiographer or radiography graduate who would like to work in a busy Radiology department as part of a friendly, close knit team. The post involves working on rotation in CT and general radiography including fluoroscopy, dental and theatre radiography. The department also provides a symptomatic mammography service and there are opportunities for radiographers to train in this speciality also. If the successful candidate is appointed at Band 5 level, they will be expected to achieve predetermined standards and will become eligible for band 6 status after a period of between 12 months and 24 months depending on progress. The department operates 24/7, and this post will include participation in the out of hours shift system, undertaking both general Radiography and CT. The shifts include 12 hour day shifts, 10 hour back shifts and 12 hour night shifts. Hours of work are: 37 average over a 16 week roster NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
